The standard we build to, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us where we have got it wrong.
What we aim for
This website is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means text can be resized to 200 percent without loss of content, color contrast meets the required ratios, every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, images carry alternative text, and the page works with a screen reader.
How it is built
The site needs no JavaScript to read any page. Headings are properly nested. Tables have row and column headers. Form fields have visible labels. Focus states are visible and are not removed.
Where we may fall short
We have not yet had the site independently audited. Some of the imagery here is produced from our own workshop drawings rather than photographed, and it carries descriptive alternative text rather than a filename. PDF documents issued to specifiers are not yet tagged for screen readers; if you need one in an accessible format, ask and we will provide it.
